Sustainable investment

For Director Cees de Waard sustainability is here to stay. “We are a family business and sustainability and the human factor are our core values. Our investments must also endure the test of sustainability and to us also the human factor is part of sustainability. This applies to dealing with both our customers, our drives, as well as our suppliers".

“The Schmitz Cargobull trailer meets on several points to our sustainable thinking. On the one hand because of the extensive safety features in the brake system, the roll stability, the load security, the galvanised chassis and the low own weight, on the other hand, because the Schmitz Cargobull trailers are suitable for intermodal commitment and also have optimal dimensions of the cargo compartment.”

Service network

Another reason to choose for Schmitz Cargobull lies in the fact that De Waard performs maintenance in their own workshop and the aftersales of Schmitz Cargobull in much of Europa is very well organized with a large number of service points.

De Waard specializes in transport on southern European destinations with an emphasis on Italy. In that country there is also a private establishment active. About fifty per cent of all freight is brought by car-train or on the piggyback wagons to Italy. The company has about 50 trucks in their own fleet and also makes use of the services of an equal number of charters.
